Why Meditate?

Meditation is almost pop culture now. The app, Calm, even has commercials on TV. It’s a good app, I’ve used it.

But why is it so popular now?
I think it’s hit mainstream because we all are looking for some way to cope with the ever-increasing speed of life. We have so many choices to make and I think we are reaching a collective burnout point.

How about you? Are you having trouble with making decisions?
Are you feeling overwhelmed and exhausted?
Do you wish your mind would just stop the incessant chatter? Are you even aware of the amount of chatter in your mind?

Maybe it’s time to try this thing called meditation.

I am creating a series of mediation practices. Not many are going to be the style of meditation on Calm or in the news. You can find Vipassana or insight meditations easily. I’m going to offer you styles that suit a mind struggling with depression or anxiety. Try a few and see if one suits you.
