Having been mentored by Elizabeth Kriz in a professional capacity, I was excited to experience her class, Thai Massage: from Mat to Table. I felt I was only beginning to understand some basic principles of Thai Traditional Medicine though I have practiced Thai bodywork for over 5 years. Liz’s class was an experience in exploring those more elusive concepts that can be difficult to understand as a beginner. Some methods can be contradictory or confusing without the time spent practicing and developing a deeper understanding of the movement on different body types and sizes. This class was a forum to answer questions about why, as well as how, we can practice this healing art. I would highly recommend this class to any Thai bodywork practitioners looking to build on the basics. Liz is thorough and careful to answer questions in a way that gives a big-picture understanding while bringing you back to where your question originated.
